  LEGAL NOTICE BY ORDER OF THE CIRCUIT COURT OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI

IF YOU WERE A TENANT AT STONEGATE MEADOWS APARTMENT COMPLEX A SETTLEMENT IN ONE OF THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS LISTED BELOW MAY AFFECT YOUR RIGHTS.

Please read the below information if you received a postcard for one of the cases listed:

Johnson v. Stonegate Meadows, L.P. and Eagle Point Management, LLC

There is a proposed settlement (“Settlement”) with Stonegate Meadows, L.P. and Eagle Point Management, LLC in a class action lawsuit titled Johnson v. Stonegate Meadows, L.P. and Eagle Point Management, LLC.

  • All tenants that leased and/or lived at Stonegate Meadows Apartment Complex from April 7, 2018 through November 2019 may be entitled to a partial rent refund. The case is a proceeding titled Johnson v. Stonegate Meadows, L.P. and Eagle Point Management, LLC, Case No. 2316-cv09588 (the “Action”), which is before the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri (the “Court”).
  • The Plaintiffs in Johnson v. Stonegate Meadows, L.P. and Eagle Point Management, LLC have entered into a Settlement with companies called Stonegate Meadows, L.P. and Eagle Point Management, LLC, along with their predecessor names and/or entities, (collectively, the “Stonegate LP/Eagle Point”).
  • Stonegate LP/Eagle Point denies all of Plaintiffs’ claims, but has agreed to the Settlement to resolve any and all claims alleged in the Action.

There is a proposed settlement (“Settlement”) with Yarco Company, Inc. in a class action lawsuit titled

  • All tenants that leased and/or lived at Stonegate Meadows Apartment Complex from September 1, 2020, through April 4, 2021 may be entitled to a partial rent refund. The case is a proceeding titled Johnson v. Yarco Company, Inc., Case No. 2316-cv09588 (the “Action”), which is before the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri (the “Court”).
  • The Plaintiffs in Johnson v. Yarco Company, Inc. have entered into a Settlement with a company called Yarco Company, Inc., along with their predecessor names and/or entities, (collectively, the “Yarco”):
  • Yarco denies all of Plaintiffs’ claims, but has agreed to the Settlement to resolve any and all claims alleged in the Action.

Johnson v. Young Management Corporation

There is a proposed settlement (“Settlement”) with Young Management Corporation in a class action lawsuit titled Johnson v. Young Management Corporation

  • All tenants that leased and/or lived at Stonegate Meadows Apartment Complex from November 27, 2019 through August 31, 2020, may be entitled to a partial rent refund. The case is a proceeding titled Johnson v. Young Management Corporation., Case No. 2316-cv09588 (the “Action”), which is before the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri (the “Court”).
  • The Plaintiffs in Johnson v. Young Management Corporation have entered into a Settlement with a company called Young Management Corporation, along with their predecessor names and/or entities, (collectively, “Young”).
  • Young denies all of Plaintiffs’ claims but has agreed to the Settlement to resolve any and all claims alleged in the Action.

SUMMARY OF YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS AND OPTIONS FOR BOTH SETTLEMENTS

Remain a member of the Settlement Class

To remain a class member of the Settlement, you do not need to do anything. You automatically will be included in the Settlement Class. If you choose to remain in the Settlement Class, you will give up your right to sue Stonegate LP/Eagle Point on the claims relating to the subject matter of the lawsuit.

Exclude yourself from the Settlement Class

You may request exclusion from the Settlement Class (also known as “opting out”) by submitting a letter to the Parties at the addresses below. The request(s) for exclusion must be postmarked no later than October 30, 2025.

Object to the Settlement

Write to the Court about why you don’t like the Settlement. To object to or comment on the Settlement, you must send a copy of your objection via mail to the Court, Class Counsel, and counsel for Stonegate LP/Eagle Point. Their addresses are listed below. Your written objection must be postmarked no later than October 30, 2025.

Go to a Hearing

Ask to speak in Court about the fairness of the Settlement. The Court will hold a Fairness Hearing November 21, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. to consider whether the Settlement is fair, reasonable, and adequate, and may also consider the motion for Plaintiffs’ attorneys’ fees, costs and expenses, as well as the request for a class representative service award for the named plaintiffs.
